Christmas Morning Box

So simple and genius!

Seeing the joy spread across your child’s face on Christmas morning as they open their gifts is a magical feeling.

However, that joy can be stamped out when they pull out their new toy, only to find it needs batteries or is strapped into its box with cable ties.

It’s not always straightforward to explain to an excited child that they can play with it later – or worse, when the shops are back open.

A Christmas account on TikTok shared the idea of the ‘Christmas Morning Box’ and it’s one that will save you from rooting through drawers for scissors or emptying the remote of its batteries when you should be relaxing.

The creator of the clip starts by asking ‘Do you have a Christmas morning box?’

While this sounds like a festive gift, it’s quite the opposite, but will give parents everywhere the gift of a stress-free and plain sailing Christmas morning.

“If you’ve found yourself searching for Tools to open Toys & Batteries on Christmas Morning you need a Christmas Day Box,” the creator continued.

To create a ‘Christmas Morning Box’ you will need a medium box, and items such as bin liners, scissors, screwdrivers, batteries of all sizes, and a set of Allen keys.

The helpful and practical box contains everything needed to see you through the toy-opening part of Christmas Day; from cleaning, to building and tightening toys and turning them on.

The creator also includes a notepad and pen in theirs so they can quickly jot down who sent their children gifts and say thank you.

Many TikTok users applauded the idea, with some offering suggestions for other items to put inside the box.

“You should put a small zip lock bag for any little screws u may need to take out so none gets left on the floor,” one wrote.

“That is such a good idea I remember as a kid being so excited to get a barbie then have to spend 2 hours trying to get it out the box,” another added.

“also am idea save the big paper bags (like primark ones) to put the recyclable paper in! then you can just put it in the recycle bin,” one recommended.

“mine contains wine and pringles,” a fourth joked.
