It’s the animated musical that took the world (and the Oscars) by storm last year, and now Frozen fans are due another blizzard of songs in the sequel, set to hit the big screen in the near future.
While no official release date has been announced, Disney yesterday confirmed that a second installment is in the pipeline. The sequel will be produced and directed by the same team that created the original, which generated nearly $1.3 billion at the box office.
“Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle.” said John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios. “We are so excited about that.”
