However, the actress says she’s become “quite tough-skinned” after years in the public eye but still finds herself defending her parenting decisions. “I know I’m a really good mum, I don’t care if anyone else is judging me.” The mum initially tried to explain her reasoning for the decision saying it was only temporary, but now says she will continue to co-sleep. “They’re not young forever and it’s quite special having them there. [It will continue until] she gets bigger and is kicking me in the night.”
However, Helen does admit that there is one reason why she wouldn’t let Matilda into her bed. “When I haven’t seen Scott (Matilda’s father) for ages, we obviously go to sleep together and I put her in her cot.”
