How to make a magic spray that deters monsters, ghosts and Boogie men

A scientifically proven formula

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Is a ghost in the wardrobe making life a misery for your terrified toddler? Do you carry out nightly Boogie Man searches in the wardrobe before bedtime? Are you regularly summoned to sweep the area under the bed for monsters after midnight?

If your child has had a nightmare, the lead character can often crop up as a figure of fear again and again. For a child, this monstrous creature can feel as real as you or me, so sometimes the best thing to do is to treat it as such… with a real solution.

Monster Spray

A tried and tested formula, Monster Spray has been proven to work on ghouls, witches, snakes, spiders and everything in between. Here’s how to make it:

1 Half fill a clean spray bottle with water

2 Add ten drops of essential oil (lavender and peppermint work well)

3 Replace and shake. Add a cool label like this one.

To use: Every night before bed time, take your Monster Spray and spritz into all the scary corners of your child’s bedroom. Monsters can’t stand the smell.
