My eldest is obsessed with the Harry Potter series. His entire room is decked out in Hogwarts décor from his bedspread to his stationary.
Needless to say when there is any wizard related event on I immediately think ‘he’d absolutely love that’ and Winterval’s newest addition to their winter wonderland is no exception.
Ireland’s largest Christmas festival arrives back this month and it’s set to be more magical than ever.
Winterval’s brand-new interactive Wizards and Dragons exhibition, running at City Hall, Waterford City from November 29 2019 to January 5 2020 and honestly even I’m excited to visit.
The exhibition will feature animatronic dragons and is the first time that anything like it will be hosted in Ireland.
The Wizards and Dragons exhibition isn’t the only event happening during Winterval as other highlights include Santa’s Grotto returning to the enchanting 750-year-old Choristers Hall and Undercroft and Winterval On Ice, a 600sqm ice rink of real ice at the new location of Bolton Street Car Park.
The Waterford based Christmas experience is always incredibly popular attracting over 500,000 visitors each year.
So if you’re looking for a Christmas event that’s a little different you can’t do any better than this year’s Winterval.
It doesn’t launch until the end of the month on November 23 so until then why not cosy up with the kids and some butterbeer and re-watch the Harry Potter series in preparation for your own magical adventure ahead.
