Push presents are the latest trend for new mums – but are pretty divisive.
Some people think it’s fair that a woman gets a little something for growing a human inside them and then birthing it, while other people really aren’t on board.
The idea of a ‘push present” is so stupid to me ? a present for willingly having a child with someone… um no I’ll just take a healthy and happy baby!

Last week, we saw that Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Travis Scott had bought her a $1.4 million Ferrari after their daughter Stormi was born.
Now, blogger mum Jessica Johnston has made her case for push presents and we definitely see her point.
Writing on Facebook, she joked to her followers that she wants the pressies she’s owed after having four kids.
“WHERE IS MY PUSH PRESENT???,” she wrote.
“I found out about this (new?) phenomenon a couple of years ago and I realized the universe (AKA my husband) owes me some kicka** swag for my vaginal contribution to the world.
“It’s my daughters seventh birthday today, and I just want to leave this friendly reminder that I’m still accepting gifts (both monetary and otherwise).”
Her wish list of push presents is spot on too. Among her dream gifts are alcohol, new boobs and her sanity.
“A bottle/case of wine with a hand made card that says ‘Sorry about your vag.’ OR ‘Hope your hemorrhoids are better.’ You SHOULD be sorry.
“Gift cards towards a boob job. Pregnancy and breastfeeding were like I hit puberty for the first time (helloooo ladies)… only to have it stolen away again (this time with less elasticity).
“My sanity back. I’d just like to be able to remember my own phone number at CVS on the FIRST try. Wherever the brain cells have gone, I need them retrieved.
“Jewellery, gold pieces, trips to Tahiti, lifetime memberships to Ikea, The Readers Digest sweepstakes…”
She does clarify that her children are more than enough reward.
“I have pushed and now I want my presents.
“BUT IF NOT… I guess I’ll take these four cute faces instead.”
Ahhh.
