Brace yourselves.
If you’ve not already heard of Baby Shark yet, you’re lucky! It was created by a YouTube channel called Pinkfong – a South Korean channel for kids, which makes videos of sing-along songs and dances.
The video was originally released back in November 2015 but only started to spread globally this summer.
Baby Shark is now insanely popular with the under-eight set all around the world and has even appeared in the charts in the UK. It now has over two billion views on YouTube.
It’s catchy and frustrating in equal measure:

Well if your kids are obsessed with it, a Baby Shark cuddly toy that sings the full song is now available for purchase. We’ve spotted them on eBay for a hefty €41 and they’re selling like hotcakes!
The news had led to some pretty amusing tweets:

Now, who do I need to seek revenge on by giving this to their child… ?? https://t.co/wj2fnBZzcp

The popular song even featured on Friday’s Late Late Toy Show, where four children dressed up as sharks and were accompanied by The Rebel Brass Jazz Group from Cork.
It seems the craze isn’t about to die off anytime soon.
