This Ninja Mama Trying To Escape Her Sleeping Baby Is Pretty Much ALL Of Us

Trine Jensen-Burke

We have ALL been here.

You know that moment, when you have FINALLY managed to get the baby to sleep (a process that can often take hours, sweat and tears – yours and baby’s) – and you will literally try anything to get her down and make your escape without her eyes pinging open – sending you screaming back to square one again?

Yup. Been there, done the crazy ninja moves to transfer baby from arms to bed, all without making a sounds or involuntary move.

If you have been known to resort do a ninja move or two yourself, you will probably find this video of a South African mum doing a reverse leopard crawl out of her baby’s nursery just as hilarious as we did.

CCTV footage of teacher Caryn Morris‚ 32‚ slithering on her back out of the nursery after putting her 15-month-old son‚ Brody‚ to sleep was posted on her husband’s Facebook page on Saturday evening. And has since – as one would expect – gone viral.

Morris explained to TimesLive that their baby usually goes to sleep by himself once he is put into his cot‚ however on Saturday evening he refused to go to sleep.

“We had guests at home for dinner and because he sensed people around he was moaning and wanted to get out the cot. Every time I walked out the room he would stand up and moan‚” she said.

“I decided to sit on the floor next to the cot so he could see me. He then just lay there with his eyes a little bit open. I lay back and noticed he didn’t flinch or move or try and get out the cot. I slithered a little bit and he still remained on his side. Before I knew‚ I made it out the door and he hadn’t moved. I was too nervous to go back in the room to see if his eyes were open.”

Her husband‚ Tyrone‚ said his wife shared her novel exit out of the room and they watched the entertaining footage with their friends‚ when he got the idea to share the hilarious video.

Can YOU relate, mamas? Have you ever had to make an acrobatic exit from your baby’s room? Let us know in the comments or tweet us at @Herfamilydotie
