But while the beginning of 2015 was peppered with gender-neutral name announcements with the arrival of Wyatt Kutcher, and Ioni James Conran, things have taken a sharp left turn of late.
In March, model Lara Bingle welcomed her first son, on whom she bestowed the space-age moniker Rocket Zot. Partially explaining the choice, Bingle said: “My son’s middle name is a respectful nod to my late father, whose nickname was affectionately, Zot,”

While David Beckham is to be godfather to little Sailor Gene Gardner, son of actress Liv Tyler and Dave Gardner.
Not to be outdone, this week the actor Kevin James revealed his three-month-old daughter is named Sistine Sabelle, a little sister to three-year-old Kannon Valentine. James isn’t even the first celeb to name a child after a Vatican chapel; Sylvester Stallone has a daughter of the same name.
