One tip for making your house safer for kids is to make a slit along a tennis ball and pop them on the corners of tables to prevent kids from bumping their heads.
To keep children (and their surroundings) clean, the video suggests making an apron out of a bin bag for times when they’re painting or engaging in any kind of messy play and for meal times it recommends adding suctions to the base of bowls to prevent them from being pushed around the table and spilling – genius!
There’s also a variety of suggestions to make chores seem a bit more fun, like making children a folding board out of cardboard to keep clothes neat and a clock with different coloured sections that mark out when homework, play, dinner, bath and bedtime will take place. This should give children a sense of order and routine.
