Last year, I upped my Christmas game by subscribing to a fantastic website that created personalised messages for Jacob from no other than Santa Claus himself.
Visit Portable North Pole and provide Santa with all the information he needs to create a unique, tailor-made video message that will bring a huge smile to your kid’s faces. You upload their personal details plus photos from throughout the year and Santa collates them into one lovely video message, meant just for them.
There is both a free video option and a Premium version, allowing for more personalisation plus this really nifty feature which allows you to choose whether your kid is on Santa’s Nice List, Naughty List or (my favourite) the Neither/Nor-But-You-Can-Get-On-The-Nice-List-If-Your-Behaviour-Improves List.
A drop-down menu lets you choose an area of improvement that Santa will mention to your kid, for example; general manners, getting dressed, being nice to their siblings etc. We chose ‘Go to bed without any fuss’ last year and it worked a charm as he knew that being better at getting into bed would make Santa so proud of him.
Lastly, if your child has asked for a particular present (and Santa is able to deliver), you can send Santa a photo of it that will be used in the video. It meant for us that the present in question was locked down and Jacob didn’t change his mind or ask for anything else.
