Parenting has become a digitally shared experience, particularly for new mums, but while much scorn has been poured on new parents for oversharing every last detail of their offspring's day online, it turns out that, in reality, your mates are actually loving it as much as you are.
When Facebook set out to investigate whether people really cringe at parents’ oversharing, they uncovered that new mothers post 2.5X more status updates, 3.5X more photos and 4.2X more videos than non-moms.
But does oversharing induce eye-rolling from family and friends? Nope, that's a myth.
Facebook says: "While conventional wisdom holds that people on the receiving end hate “sharenting,” their actions say they actually love it, or at least like it. Indeed, sharenting can help rally friends and family, extending the modern family unit."
So there you have it, time for a playground selfie?
