We asked our favourite high profile mums what they’re doing this Mother’s Day…

What are your plans for Mother’s Day?

Normally I would be relying on Isaac, my husband, to organise someone to bring me breakfast in bed but Isaac is away with Luca, so that hasn’t happened! I love breakfast in bed it is such a treat, Issac is great for doing those things though it is probably because I have been hinting for years! I got chocolates from Scarlett. We are all going up to Dublin to see my mum an dad, (I’ll have to drag Joshua out of bed!), and we’ll have supper together tonight, my sister is going to cook.

What was your first Mother’s Day as a new mother like?

Pretty hectic! A little baby doesn’t realise the importance, the HUGE importance of Mother’s Day! Not like now, I got a text from Luca this morning, chocolates from Scarlett and Joshua has yet to wake up!

What is your dream Mother’s Day gift if the constraints of time/reality/physic didn’t apply?

Honestly, my dream Mother’s Day gift is something that my kids have made. My favourite thing is a homemade card.

What is the best Mother’s Day gift you have ever received?

It’s everything that they have made. Today, Scarlett gave me a card that really was so sweet. She’d written it herself, and it said: “Thank you for cuking the best fud”. So we don’t exactly do lavish Mother’s Day gifts but I love it.

What would you like to say to your own mother today?

Thank you! That’s why I’m really glad that today I can go up to Dublin and give her a big hug. I had sent a card on, but I just always want to say “thank you”. Becoming a mother yourself, you suddenly appreciate everything that your own mother did for you. Fight for you, put up with you, everything. And hope that she has a lovely day and gets to feel hugely appreciated.
