The Irish name Róisín has grown in popularity since 2023. It was the 36th most popular name in Ireland for a girl last year.
You might recognise it from the famous Galway venue Róisín Dubh, which originated from a 16th-century poem.
While the name is certainly popular in Ireland, it's also perfect and unique for parents living abroad.
There are many beautiful Irish names inspired by nature, such as Bláthnaid, meaning 'flower', and Eoghan, meaning 'yew tree.'
Other Irish names are also growing in popularity in the US, with Liam being the most popular name for a boy in 2023.
