The viral hit has spawned spin-off versions and bestselling soft toys and even sparked a sexism row in its native Korea, and Netflix viewers can expect to see videos based on the song on the streaming service later this year.
The company behind Pinkfong, the channel that unleashed Baby Shark on the world, also wants to turn it into a cartoon series and a musical, Bloomberg reports.
One of its founders, Lee Seung-kyu, told thd publication that they're looking at video games too so it looks as though we won't hear the last of this earworm for a long while yet.
What started as a song about a family of sharks on an obscure educational Youtube channel in 2015 has become a worldwide phenomenon.
The original video has been viewed over 2.1 billion times and hit number six in the UK singles chart (though it only peaked at 22 here in Ireland).Explore more on these topics:
