kids

The weekend is here, the kids are off school, and many parents will be looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained.

The weather is due to be up and down over the next few days, with rain and strong winds expected – so why not book a nice meal out?

Bringing the kids along for breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be an ordeal depending on the age of your little ones, but booking somewhere that is known to be kid-friendly can take some of that pressure off.

From playrooms in the restaurant, to early bird menus and friendly staff, here are some of the recommendations readers gave us.

Restaurants

One mum said: “Cosmos in Liffey Valley as it’s a buffet so the kids can choose their own food pre book or can walk in but better to have booked was there last Wednesday and there were plenty of kids.

“They also cater for birthdays very reasonably priced refills of minerals included in the price also have website so can have idea of cost.”

Another parent said: “Elephant and castle at the foxhunter in Lucan. Great food and a great playroom for all ages.”

A third recommended: “Carluccio’s in Dawson Street is great with kids,” while another said: “Cactus Jack was amazing.”

Among the other recommendations were Wagamamas and Luigi Malones in Templebar.
