Initially, it’s in protest but then she starts to take it seriously.

This is one that will make you appreciate your mum more for sure.

3. Otherhood.

Otherhood will have you and your mum in stitches laughing and that’s a promise.

It’s brilliantly funny and it’s the perfect chill-out watch for Mother’s Day.

4. Joy.

Jennifer Lawrence received her four Oscar nomination for her role in this. She leads alongside a star-studded cast including Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.

As Joy, she’s a divorced mother, trying to support her father, mother, grandmother, ex-husband, and children under one roof while keeping the peace.

She invents a self-wringing mop that she knows has the potential to be big. This is such a heartwarming comedic movie that’s ideal to watch on Mother’s Day.

5. Instant Family.

Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne star in Instant Family as a married couple who look into adoption after they decide they want kids.

They find a teenager named Lizzy who comes with two younger siblings – Juan, who’s 10 and Lita, aged 6. The family work together to make things work but it starts to fall apart when the kids’ birth mother turns up.

This movie is the ultimate real-life representation of mom life and it is brilliant.

Staring Mia Kuntis as Amy, who has a seemingly perfect life, a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career.

However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap.

So, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms and go on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence.

10. Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers and

Last but not least, we have two gas movies that have to be watched one after another.

Although it’s hard to believe Meet the Parents is almost 23 years old, it’s still a hilariously funny, family-favourite movies that is relatable on every level.

Both films have one of the most impressive casts of all time with Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson staring in both movies.

The storyline follows the common difficulties of meeting the in-laws and trying to get the family’s approval for it all to completely backfire and become and absolute nightmare.

The story continues to Meet the Fockers where soon to be married Greg and Pam introduce both family’s ahead of their big day.

These movies are ideal for the entire family to gather, get comfy and watch on Mother’s Day. And if you finish them both, there’s always the third movie, Little Fockers.
