This supermodel’s ‘beauty smoothie’ is our absolute morning favourite

You are what you eat – and drink. Yup, that's right. Beauty smoothies are now a thing and it turns out Victoria's Secret models are big fans of these skin-perfecting concoctions. In a recent interview with The Cut, model Candice Swanepoel revealed she loves making herself a “beauty smoothie” in the morning, and explained: “I’ve figured out what’s best for my body." As for how she came up with her beauty smoothie recipe, Swanepoel admits it was no happy accident, but rather down to a bit of online research. “I like to be on beauty blogs. I’ve always loved nutrition, and because I’ve worked out for so many years, I’ve figured out what’s best for my body and keeping my energy up.” Dishing on what she puts into her smoothie, the new mama reveals: “It contains coconut oil, flaxseed oil, banana, protein and some kind of antioxidant fruit like blueberries or strawberries, or some nut butter." And the Victoria's Secret angel is on to something, for sure, as antioxidants have been shown to reduce and fight skin inflammation and also slow down signs of aging.
