Brought to you by Airfield Estate
Face-painting, walk and talks and puppet shows await visitors at Nature Fest.
Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of this final stretch, and if you’re on the hunt for some family weekend fun, we know just the event.
This weekend (Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August), Airfield Estate will be going all out for Nature Fest, a jam-packed weekend event dedicated to celebrating all aspects of sustainability, from health to food production and nature. Fancy a glimpse of what to expect across these two fun-filled days? Here’s what’s on the agenda.
A picturesque setting
This 38-acre farm and gardens truly offers visitors a taste of the country in the city. In between events, explore the grounds, grab a bite to eat, breathe in that fresh air and enjoy some time in nature.
Events for all ages
At Nature Fest, you and your family will unlock the wonder of nature and discover the animals and plants that call this sprawling estate home through a series of events for all ages. There will be hands-on workshops centred around biodiversity, science, sustainability and nature, as well as expert-led talks. Across the weekend, a range of experts from the Irish Wildlife Trust, the Organic Association of Ireland and Irish Seed Savers will be making appearances. Author Eoghan Dalton will also be joining the lineup, so don’t miss out!
Family Fun
There will be plenty of opportunities to play across the weekend with a series of activities geared towards younger visitors, including nature crafts, puppet shows and face-painting.
You can check out the full programme of events right here.

Tickets for most events are priced between €8 and €15, which is equivalent to a price of a day ticket to Airfield. The events are also free to attend for toddlers under 3 and those with annual memberships of Airfield Estate.
