“Wth was that, I'm kinda thinking about pulling my kids from there.”
Some parents responded in an understanding way, saying she was probably playing make-believe - but that she needs to explain this to the kids.
The Reddit user wrote: “Probably just discuss this with her. ‘My kids need to understand when you're playing make believe. Wednesday when you told the kids there were fairies they seemed really confused.’
“If she tries to convince you there were fairies, it might be time to go. More likely she'll take your feedback or respond with something about the importance of imagination.”
Another backed the teacher saying: “Did another adult witness this and find it weird? Was the teacher just trying to make some imaginative fun for the kids, and it didn't land?”
However, others were quick to slam the teacher, with one writing: “That’s so weird and inappropriate. First denying legitimate responses and then insisting on something imaginary.
“The kids were then made to say yes in order to satisfy their authority figure. That’s a terrible lesson - agree to a lie.”
