Broadcaster Anna Geary and her husband Kevin had their first family holiday since welcoming their baby boy in August 2023.
After their successful trip, Geary took to Instagram to share some helpful advice with other parents.
"We had the best time away as a family and got loads of lovely dms with tips and tricks for going away with a baby," she wrote.
"Make sure to buy a swimsuit that is a bright colour," she advised.
"In case babies/kids fall into the water, they will be spotted much faster in the likes of neon colours."
Geary also recommended sizing up in sun hats, as some children will be irritated if the hat feels too tight on their head.
Hats are great protection against the sun, so making sure they're comfortable for your little ones is crucial.
The 36-year-old also had some great tips and tricks for the plane journey.
Bringing a young child onto a plane can be scary, especially when it's their first time, but Geary's hacks will certainly help.
"For the plane, I filled a ziplock bag with toys including building blocks, suction spinners, and mini books and then we had another ziplock bag with snacks."
She also made sure to inform parents that you can bring bottles of formula in carry-on luggage.
"I bought a travel kettle and brought it with me and then boiled the water for the formula in that - I didn't want to be using an old kettle when I didn't know how clean it was."
She also recommended that parents bring sterilisation tablets with them so making bottles is less of a hassle.
These tips are definitely all life savers, and great for every parent to have on hand.
