When Roger Federer jokingly took on a young fan to pass some time between sets, he didn’t expect to be down a point within seconds.
The game, organised to mark World Tennis day at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, was a BNP Paribas Showdown between Federer and Grigor Dimitrov. When Dimitrov opted to take a short break, he invited the boy to play in his place.
A fun rally ended with a serious lob by the young prodigy… and a huge round of applause from the crowd.
