The story of Doreen, a pregnant woman with cerebral palsy was showered with praise.

Doreen showed viewers that having cerebral palsy doesn’t make her any less than another person. As she said in the show: “I don’t want anyone to see me as something broken.”
Doreen’s mum was shocked when she revealed she was pregnant, but she quickly realised that her daughter shouldn’t miss out on life milestones because of her cerebral palsy.
“I break things. Sometimes cups. Sometimes promises. And now I break people’s ideas of what a girl like me can do. Or have. Or be…” ❤️❤️❤️ 🥲🥲🥲#CallTheMidwife #NewSeries @BBCOne pic.twitter.com/pL0g8UNnYc
