Jenna Dewan has opened up about her experience of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Channing Tatum.

The former couple share one daughter, Everly (10), together.

The pair parted ways in April 2018 after nine years of marriage, with the actress describing their co-parenting dynamic as a ‘journey’.

“It never ends,” she said in an interview with Romper.

“You just learn as you go and get better at certain things, and for me, Evie will always be my top priority. I just continually put her first. That’s how I can manage all hard things.”

Jenna welcomed her second child, a son named Callum, with her fiancé, Steve Kazee, in March 2020.

The mum admitted the transition from one to two children was difficult for her and Everly at first.

“In the beginning, it was really tough. And it was definitely hard on her in the beginning too, but she’s gotten into the flow with that a lot more,” Jenna told the outlet.

“But she loves Callum. She really adores him.”

This week, she announced she was expecting her third child in a clip on Instagram of her fiancé playing the guitar as she lay in the bathtub.

“Think if I make @stevekazee serenade me every night the baby will get his voice??” the actress captioned the announcement post.

In her interview, the dancer revealed she is in her second trimester and praised Steve’s parenting ability ahead of their baby’s arrival.

“He’s so naturally domestic and nurturing, and he’s so loving, and he’s funny, and he’s really… he’s just incredible,” she says.

“It’s one of those things where people just have a natural ability for parenting. I’m so excited to see him with a little baby again.”

Jenna also confessed that while she loves everything that comes with motherhood, this would be her final pregnancy.

“You don’t race to the end because this is the last time.

“So there’s a bit of joy and a little sadness. I’m really trying to enjoy it all and not try to just get through the days.”

“I really love being a mom. That’s something I knew my whole life, but I really know it now.”
