Even Royal parents have to draw the line somewhere

Meghan Markle has shared that there is a gift her four-year-old son, Archie, would love, but that he won’t be getting.

The actress and her husband, Prince Harry, also share a two-year-old daughter named Lilibet.

With Christmas around the corner, you would imagine any gift request imaginable would be granted for a child who has been born into the royal family – but that’s not always the case.

The mum-of-two shared that her son has developed a passion for photography which has influenced his Christmas list.

This new hobby was sparked when Archie began spending time with their friend and director, Misan Harriman.

“His inspiration runs deep,” Meghan explained during a Q&A after the screening of Netflix’s ‘The After‘.

“Misan was showing him how to do photography the last time he was with us. I bought Archie a camera and he said, ‘But it’s not a Leica like Misan.'”

The German-made camera is largely hand-built, making its price tag rather expensive.

“I said [to him], ‘You are not getting a Leica! Not even for Christmas!'” Meghan added.

Despite the fact Archie’s dream gift will not be under the tree this year, the family are looking forward to making some new traditions this Christmas.

“We’re creating new ones now that our little ones are growing up. And we’re enjoying every moment of it,” she told E! News.

“I love trimming and decorating the tree with my children.”

Although the family are making some new traditions, the parents maintained the tradition of their annual Christmas card this year.

Meghan and Harry shared their virtual card by email, which featured a photo of the two from the closing ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games.

“We wish you a very happy holiday season,” it said. “Thanks for all the support in 2023!” it read.
