So, Harry and Meghan threw MAJOR shade at Jamie Oliver just before their wedding
Awkward.
We all know that Harry and Meghan's wedding was the event of the year.
Anyone who was anyone got the invite, from the Clooneys to the Beckhams - but one person didn't quite make the cut.
Rumour has it, Jamie Oliver got a major snub from the royal wedding.
Apparently, the celebrity chef offered to cater the wedding for FREE, but he was turned down.
Speaking to Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer this weekend, Jamie said:
"I did actually write and say if they want the food sorted I would bring the best of British and American chefs together to do the catering... I didn't get a reply. That is a true story."
He added:
"I would have done it for free, you know, I like a bit of a moment."
He added: "The palace is very slick at protocol and getting those gigs done, so probably we're a bit renegade."
So who ended up getting the gig?
Clare Smyth, a chef from Northern Ireland, landed the VIP gig, feeding countless celebrity guests.
Clare described the experience as "surreal".
"The fairytale story was my lasting memory from the wedding,' she told Hello!. 'It couldn't have been more perfect... it was completely surreal."
"They were involved in the menu, it was very important to them... it's a once in a lifetime thing so it's nice to be a part in it," she added.
