Irish Ambulance Crews Kept Busy As Three Babies Were In A Hurry To Be Born Last Night

Trine Jensen-Burke

Some babies are certainly a little more eager to enter this world than others, and have no time even to wait until mummy is inside the walls of the hospital before they make their arrival.

This was just  the case for no less than three little Irish babies, who were all delivered by crews from the National Ambulance Service (NAS) in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow overnight last night.

Teams from Tallaght, Naas, Wicklow and Newcastle ambulance stations attended the scenes, and the NAS explained to TheJournal.ie how their call centre staff provided over the phone instruction in emergency childbirth procedures until paramedics arrived.

And despite the midnight drama, all mothers and babies are said to be doing well today.
