Kelvin Fletcher has found himself under fire
The Emmerdale star has been slammed by parents for the cost of meeting Santa at his Peak District farm this Christmas.
Kelvin alongside his wife Liz, have begun welcoming families onto their property including their celeb pals ex-Corrie actor Shayne Ward, his actress wife Sophie Austin and their daughter Willow.
Yet according to the average everyday family who would have liked to pay a visit, the price of booking a spot is just too much.
They cost €56 to €63 for children aged 12 months to 12 years and €28 to €32 for adults depending on which date you choose in December.
The price includes making reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve, meeting the farm animals and playing in mini-Land Rovers and giant snow globes.
Youngsters will also get to meet Santa Claus. A number of upset people have vented their frustrations with the “ridiculous” prices on social media.
“It’s far too dear for families, needs to be half the price,” wrote one disgruntled individual.
Another wrote: “I love the family but the price for a family is £140. It’s a bit too expensive. But I still like to watch them on TV for their genuine down-to-earth farming.”
“I love the programme but must agree that three adults and two children was too expensive for us too. Such a shame. I do hope it’s a success though,” added another.
Kelvin and his family first opened ‘Fletchers on the Farm’ in Macclesfield back in 2021, later starring in their own documentary series.
The creation of Santa’s Village will be seen in a new ITV special to be aired on Christmas Eve./
