While Enrique Iglesias’ children have yet to see him perform on stage, they’re starting to catch on that their dad is a famous singer.

The father’s three kids – daughter Mary, 3, and twins Nicholas and Lucy, 5 – whom he shares with her longtime partner, Anna Kournikova, says his oldest son was recently blown away by seeing his dad rehearse.

Speaking to Today, the ‘Hero’ singer shared that his son had only watched him in action via video up until recently.

“My son, when he saw me at rehearsal, it was like, ‘What?!'” Enrique told the outlet.

“Because he’s seen a lot of music videos and videos on the stage of me performing, but to be able to see it in person, the production and lights, it’s like, ‘Oh my God.'”

“He was like watching an alien or UFO, in a good way. He was amazed.”

Despite not being front and centre at his concerts yet, the pop star revealed that his youngest daughter Mary already has a favourite song and she is eagerly awaiting to see her dad perform live.

“Whenever I go to pick her up at school, I pick up all of them, and she’s always the one that starts singing ‘I Like It’ a lot of times.

“And then they all start singing it together. It’s the cutest thing ever. That’s her favourite song.”

For now, his music will need to suffice as it will be a few years until his children can attend his shows. ‘Bailando’ singer allows his offspring to attend one of his shows.

In the meantime, the dad-of-three shared how he plans to spend Christmas with his family.

“I’m really looking forward to Christmas, relax and be with them every single day.

“They think that they’re supposed to get gifts no matter what holiday it is. They’re gonna go really crazy. They’re really looking forward to that.”

On the subject of gifts, it turns out that Enrique’s kids are experts when discussing what they want for Christmas.

So much so that the singer called them his ‘little negotiators’.
