Lea Michele gives update on son’s health following scare

“As parents we have to be strong for our kids.”

Lea Michele has shared an update about her son’s health following a scare last month.

The Glee actress revealed last month that her two year old son Ever had been hospitalised and she had to take time off work to care for him.

Lea is currently starring as Fanny Brice in the Broadway musical Funny Girl and shares her two year old son with husband Zandy Reich.

Taking to Instagram to share an update, she wrote: “Today was a hard day.

“As parents we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you just want to break down and cry (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I chose hospital bathroom).

“These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for.”

She added that thankfully Ever will be okay but is not fully recovered yet.

She continued: “It’s been hard to say the least but our boy is such a champ and is going to be ok. But it still hurts.”

The actress then shared another image of her giving Ever a big hug.

She wrote: “Ran to give my baby a hug at home in between shows. It was quick but worth it.”

While she didn’t go into detail about her son’s health problems, Lea said last month it was a ‘scary health issue’.

Alongside a photo of her holding Ever’s hand in the hospital, the mum wrote at the time: “I’m so sorry but unfortunately I will be out of @FunnyGirlBwy today.”

Lea continued: “We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for.

“I’m so sorry. Please send us some love and strength.”
