What keeps us wondering when and where in Ireland to take our staycation? It’s the all-consuming topic we just cannot get enough of – will I bring my coat or my jacket? Does my umbrella fit in that bag, because I’m pretty sure the weather person said the hot sun was on the way but, you never know…Â
Well… forget Deric Ó hArtagáin – Dulux has actually predicted the future of our Irish weather chats and bants.
Their survey lays down the facts when it comes to our obsession with rain, sun, snow and the biting wind, and it’s a revelation…
The results
- 62% of us have the craic about the weather
- 40% of us talk about the “weather” at least 4 times per day.
- Jean Byrne and TV3’s Martin King were pipped at the post with 1/5 of the population claim their favourite weather gal is the delectable Evelyn Cusack (sorry Deric!)
The facts
- According to Ken Ring (famous for his revelations on the legendary July 2013 heatwave) the bikinis can be unearthed for June (yay)
- Ken (the weather God) also claims the atmospheric conditions for two weeks in mid July will be epic
- What about August I hear you yell? Yes. Good weather is promised in August too (little dance)
