“Everything you do is wrong.”

Scarlett Johansson has opened up about life with a toddler and explained raising her youngster in a way we’ve never heard before.

Speaking candidly about motherhood and how she balances work and being a mum of two, Scarlett opened up about everything as she appeared on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.

Explaining to hosts Lauryn and Michael Bosstick that raising a toddler is like being in an “emotionally abusive relationship”, the Black Widow star said her perspective on motherhood has changed this time around.

Scarlett is mum to eight-year-old Rose, who she shares with ex Romain Dauriac, and one-year-old Cosmo, who she shares with husband Colin Jost.

“I remember my daughter when she was two, I said, ‘This is great,” she explained. “I don’t know what everybody is talking about.’ And then she turned three, and it’s like being in an emotionally abusive relationship.”

She went on to explain that when Rose turned three, she couldn’t find any way to reason with her.

“Very intense emotional swings and so bossy and adamant, and like, it’s just crazy,” Scarlett added. “And, also these huge mood swings, constant mood swings.

“Those poor little guys, I feel bad for them, it must be a lot…You’re like up and down constantly.”

While she said the toddler stage is always up and down, the Marriage Story star added that the one-year-old stage, which Cosmo is at, is “so lovely”.

“They’re so cute. They sit there and they love you and then that’s it,” she explained. “And you just get love from them.

“You get a lot of grief from toddlers. Everything you do is wrong.”
