Smyths issues warning to shoppers ahead of Christmas season

Smyths has shared the annual warning with parents

Have you already started your Christmas shopping? The festive season is just around the corner and the kids are beyond excited.

They’re already writing their letters to Santa and we’re very ready to enter the madness that is Smyths at Christmas time.

As exciting as it is, trying to find places to hide their Santa gifts is becoming even trickier.

The last thing we want to do is ruin the magic of Christmas and have the kids find their gifts before the big day.

Smyths has warned parents to be extra careful when shopping this Christmas because of their shopping bags.

The Smyths bags are pretty clear and kids will be able to see through the bags if they’re left around the house.

They told their customers: “Please note your Click & Collect items will be in clear packaging with contents visible.”

Parents praised the retailer for being so considerate and for thinking ahead.

In preparation for the Christmas season, Smyths has confirmed they will be extending their opening hours. The store will now be open until 9 pm on weekdays which makes our lives that little bit easier.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Please don’t tell us you’re the type of person who has it done by October.

We’ll be doing our usual and dashing to Smyths during Christmas week after forgetting something. It happens every year, but we can consider it a tradition, right?
