Suki Waterhouse has been praised for sharing an unfiltered reality of postpartum life, also known as the ‘fourth trimester’.
The singer, who recently welcomed her first child with her partner, Robert Pattinson, described this trimester — which refers to the 12 weeks after giving birth — as ‘humbling’.
In a candid Instagram post, she shared an insight into the first weeks of motherhood, including both the highs and lows.
“The fourth trimester has been… humbling!” the model wrote.
“The postpartum period has been filled with exhilarating joy, so much laughter, tears, soo many hormones!
“I’m proud of everything my body has achieved and proud of the kindness and grace I’ve given myself during this recovery period.”
Suki has been commended by social media users for representing what postpartum really is online.

“You’re so beautiful, thanks for sharing this,” another user added.

A fourth user thanked the actress for bringing awareness to this trimester, one that often is forgotten, but just as important a time for a mother’s health as the first three trimesters.
“I’m a little older and no one talked about it. F*ck yes, thank you bringing it up! Enjoy your new body and soul!” they wrote.
The singer-songwriter first announced she was expecting her first baby while on stage for the Corona Capital Festival in November in the cutest way.
“I thought I’d wear something sparkly today to distract you from something else I’ve got going on,” Suki said while gesturing at her stomach, which sent the crowds into a frenzy.
“I’m not sure if it’s working,” she joked.

The model and actor have been romantically linked since 2018, although they keep their relationship, for the most part, private.
In a rare interview last year, Suki shared some insights into her relationship with the Twilight actor during an interview with The Sunday Times.
“I’m shocked that I’m so happy with someone for nearly five years,” she revealed.
“I had two days off the other day, and it was like, no question I’m going back to see him. Then he’ll come out for a couple of days. I’m always incredibly excited when I see his name pop up [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same about me. We’ve always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious.”
During this chat with the outlet, the singer also shared her thoughts about having children.
“You have to be like, ‘I’m going be a sitting cow for a bit of time,’ but it’s going to be worth it. I can’t wait. I wish you could click your fingers to make it happen.”
