The fire broke out on Sunday afternoon.

Thirteen of the 60 families that were evacuated from an apartment building in Dublin on Sunday remain homeless.

Emergency services were alerted that a fire had broken out at the Falcon’s View complex near Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at around 4pm on Sunday.

The fire spread through several floors of the building which forced residents to be evacuated, including thirteen families, one of which was a heavily pregnant mum and her three children.

There has been no word on when those who have been left temporarily homeless will return to their homes or given any type of long term solution.

The residents were provided with a hotel room for the last number of nights.

ESB Networks revealed to The Irish Mirror that they have reconnected 47 apartments but 13 still are without power.

A spokesperson said: “Significant electrical works remain. We can only reconnect once the appropriate electrical work is completed.”

Property management company The Comer Group added to The Star that those left in temporary homelessness is set to be reduced.

A company spokesperson said: “Anybody who is not back in their apartments are in hotel accommodation.

“Everything is being assessed at the moment. It’s amazing that everyone got out safely and we thank the emergency services.”

One mum who is currently pregnant on her fourth child was forced to flee her home with her three year old twins and one year old toddler, saying that she hopes to return soon but at the moment, she says it’s not looking good.
