Amanda Holden resparks the debate about kissing your children on the lips in latest Instagram

The actor defended a picture she posted kissing her six-year-old.

It seems to be an issue that keeps circulating – is it ok for a parent to kiss their children on the lips?

TV personality, Amanda Holden, recently uploaded what should have been a harmless picture of her and her youngest daughter Hollie enjoying some time together at the Ritz Carlton. The mum-daughter duo were all dressed up and wore matching top knots.

Since posting the Instagram, in which Amanda is seen kissing six-year-old Hollie on the lips, it has received some criticism from individuals who deem the act inappropriate.

While fans of Amanda complimented the beautiful picture as sweet and reflected on the lovely bond between mother and daughter, others have labelled it as “sexual” to kiss one’s child on the lips.

Amanda rebuffed these sinister claims by saying, “I think people who question and write otherwise really aren’t well!”

Good on her!

Amanda is a mother of two children, 12-year-old Lexi and six-year-old Hollie. In 2010 and again in 2011 she miscarried two pregnancies, a fact that one supporter was quick to remind trolls to be mindful of:

“The people who have a problem with this picture need a good hug from there mother. There is nothing wrong with this picture. She is showing her own daughter affection, nothing wrong with that, and do remember what Amanda has been through.”

The harsh judgment comes just after David Beckham was equally berated for pecking his seven-year-old daughter, Harper on the lips, back in November.
