The 43-year old mom-of-three (Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Sam, 4) is not only classy (did you catch her recent Vanity Fair interview?!), but she sort of – despite being a drop-dead-gorgeous celebrity – also feels like "just another mum" like you and me.
My own love-affair with Jen was cemented way back when I heard her telling Jimmy Fallon in an interview about how the Affleck/Garner's dealt with an outbreak of head lice (and had to attend a party alongside George Clooney with a head full of lice treatment cream). Legend.
And hearing her read Adam Mansbach's Go the F*ck to Sleep out loud did little to lessen my mum-crush on her. I mean; sometimes even celebrity mums just really, really wants their kids to go to sleep.
When the hilarious book was first released a couple of years back, it practically caused the entire Internet to erupt in a standing ovation, for sweetly telling kids of the world exactly what we’ve always wanted to tell them: JUST. F*CKING. SLEEP, ALREADY.
In the funny clip above Garner uses her trademark girl-next-door, sugary-sweet voice to convince children to go to bed. She even ad libs a poignant line, adding, "I know you're not thirsty, that's bullsh*t, stop lying. Lie the f*ck down, my darling, and sleep."
Now do you see why I LOVE her?!
