Our all-time favourite top 10 reasons my kid is crying posts

Sophie White

One of my favourite ever blog-turned-books, Reasons My Kid is Crying, was given to me when my son was a few days old by my cousin.

In the early bewildering days of motherhood, that for me were surreal and weirdly tense, this book gave me hope that things would be getting really fun, really fast.

The blog started when busy father Greg Pembroke posted a few pictures online of his three-year-old son, mid-tantrum, alongside the reason his son was crying. Example: He had broken his bit of cheese in half. Soon the project grew and grew until parents all over the world were sending him the reasons their children were crying. These reasons ranged from infuriating and illogical to totally understandable and endearing.
