Ryan Tubridy shares moving message with Leaving Cert students

Ryan Tubridy has shared a moving message with Leaving Cert students getting their results today.

The broadcaster took to Instagram to share some words of encouragement with pupils. Tubridy encouraged them to celebrate, regardless of their points.

He also reminded them that your results don’t define who you are.

“Leaving Cert people of Ireland, if you got what you wanted in your points and results, congratulations, you did well!”

“If you didn’t, don’t worry, this is the most important part, because it’s something in the cosmos, the universe, who knows, nudging you somewhere you weren’t expecting to be.”

“Take it from somebody who knows about this a little bit, the old guy,” he continued.

“If that happens, embrace it, run into it, and take it somewhere exciting and interesting, because it’s where you were obviously meant to be,” he said.

He urged them not to panic because their loved ones are more important than anything.

“So don’t panic, take it on. Remember – family and perspective are more important than any points in the whole world.”

“Go and have some fun tonight, and then get on with the rest of your life and have fun getting there,” he concluded.

The post quickly filled with supportive messages from Greg O’Shea, Pippa O’Connor, and Karl Henry.
