Couple adopts triplets – then discovers they are pregnant with twins

It never rains but it pours, as they say.

And let’s all agree that that was very much the case for Andy and Sarah Justice from Tulsa in the US – who after having just adopted newborn triplets found out that they were now expecting twins.

That’s right. This family went from two to seven in the space of 10 months. Wow. It’s like they are Brad and Angelina almost.

The Justice’s had struggled for years trying to conceive, but after realizing that their family might not happen like that, started looking into other options. Unable to afford rounds of IVF, which can set you back anything between $30,000–60,000, the couple decided to adopt, and were only delighted to discover that the birth mother they had found was expecting triplets.

But as if the pitter patter of six small feet wasn’t enough, Sarah discovered she herself was pregnant only a couple of weeks after having welcomed Joel, Hannah and Elizabeth into the world.

When an ultrasound confirmed that there were in fact two in there, the new mother admitted to local newspaper Tulsa World that she was a little freaked out at first.

“We were very happy. Did we panic a little? Of course. But we were very happy.”

A few months later the family welcomed little Abigail and Andrew into the world – and admitted they now go through 84 bottles of formula and a whopping 300(!) nappies a week.

And here is us thinking our grocery shopping bill is steep!
