They say it will be a peaceful protest to honour Josh.

Last year 16-year-old Josh Dunne was tragically stabbed to death in Dublin during an altercation.

George Gonzaga Bento (36) stabbed Josh and two other people while retrieving his stolen bicycle, which caused a scuffle between a large group.

Mr Bento said that he pulled the knife in self defense and did not mean to kill anyone and he was cleared by a jury of all charges relating to the teenager’s death at the Central Criminal Court last week.

After the verdict the teenager’s mother, Diane Dunne, said she is not going down easy and will keep fighting for Josh until the day she dies.

Josh’s sister, Jade, later posted on social media that her family now plan to hold a rally in Josh’s memory;

“We’re now planning to stage a protest in Dublin with banners and pictures of Josh just to keep his story and our fight for justice alive, it’s the only way we can keep this movement going.”

The rally is set to take place tomorrow, June 21st, in Dublin.

Family and friends of Josh Dunne will meet at the Dail tomorrow at 4pm and walk to East Wall in his memory.

His family have stressed that it will be a peaceful protest to honour the memory of the talented footballer.

They also say that all who support them are welcome to join them along the route.
