Prince Harry: No child should have to grieve publicly as I did

Harry's gotten very honest in his latest interview.

It’s his most honest interview yet.

It’s sometimes nice to fantasise about what it might be like to be a royal, but a new interview with Prince Harry shows that growing up in the public eye is far from easy.

He told Newsweek how difficult it was to have to mourn his mother in public after her death when he was 12.

“My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television.”

“I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”

He also told the publication that the role of the royals can be taxing.

“We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people,” he said.

“Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.”

Wonder how his granny would feel about him saying that.
