Horrific footage emerges of parents using hot sauce to ‘potty train’ their son

Footage has emerged of parents allegedly using hot sauce as a punishment to try and "potty train" their son. The video, originally posted on Snapchat, showed two unknown parents pouring hot sauce down their son's pants and onto his face while he cries. The footage sparked a police investigation in Oklahoma after a local said that they recognised the parents in the video. The local woman eventually posted the video to Facebook to "shame" the parents for their actions. According to the New York Post, she wrote:

“(These parents) think putting hot sauce on your child’s face and in their mouth is an appropriate way to potty train. “I’d never shame a mom like this unless it was warranted. I’m shaking for that poor baby."

The boy's mother has said that she doesn't believe she did anything wrong. She said:

“The video was played out to be something it wasn’t. “You can see that nothing went down his pants, and nothing was in his mouth…I would never put (my son) in harm’s way.”
