Imposter: Man claiming to be missing child discounted by DNA test

Katie Mythen-Lynch

The man who contacted police claiming to be missing British toddler Ben Needham had already previously been discounted following a DNA test.

The heartbreaking news is a further blow to the Needham family, who appeared on Greek television this week in a desperate appeal for information on the child, who vanished from his grandparent’s farmhouse in Kos in 1991.

The TV appearance has generated seven new leads on the Sheffield youngster however and police are currently examining a photograph of a third man that was sent to them during the three-hour programme.
