"I know he is still in there"
The mother of Archie Battersbee is reportedly sickened after a judge gave doctors permission to switch off her son's life support.
The UK High Court ruled in favour of switching off the young boy's life support after he was declared brain damaged.
However, his mum said it is the wrong call.
She said her little boy is still in there.
His heart is still beating and she claims he was able to hold her hand.
Speaking after Monday's ruling, the heartbroken mother Hollie Dance said she is devastated.
"I am devastated and extremely disappointed by the judge’s ruling after weeks of fighting a legal battle when I wanted to be at my little boy’s bedside."
"I feel sickened that the hospital and the judge have failed to take the wishes of the family into consideration.
She added, "I do not believe Archie has been given enough time."
"From the beginning, I have always thought ‘why the rush?’"
“His heart is still beating, he has gripped my hand, and as his mother, I know he is still in there.”
Archie suffered brain damage after a tragic accident at their family home in April.
Doctors advised his parents that it was time to turn off his life support.
However, they refused to accept their advice.
Decisions about ending Archie's care were then brought to the High Court.
This week, the judge confirmed that the 12-year-old was dead as of May 31st.
The court has confirmed that doctors can stop mechanically ventilating the boy.
They have also been told not to resuscitate Archie.
His parents plan on appealing the decision.
His mum said that it is completely wrong, but will continue to fight.
