A school bus in Limerick crashed into a ditch on April 16th
A group of pupils had a lucky escape after their school bus crashed into a ditch in Limerick on Tuesday morning.
It is believed the bus veered off the road and into a ditch on the R513 between Caherconlish and Hospital.
Emergency services responded to the scene of the terrifying accident at around 8.30 am on Tuesday, April 16th.
The Limerick Leader confirmed that nobody was seriously injured in the accident.
A group of older pupils assisted younger students following the accident. They reportedly helped them off the bus after the crash occurred.
The pupils escaped the vehicle through the emergency door.
They also helped keep them calm following the road accident.
Teachers who were travelling behind the bus also rushed to help the passengers onboard.
Multiple ambulances attended the scene of the accident, but no serious injuries were reported.
Fair play to the pupils and teachers who helped one another following what must have been such a scary experience for all involved.
