The British royals have come under fire again after posting a photo to mark what would’ve been the Queen’s 97th birthday.

To mark the late monarch’s birthday, the family issued an unseen photo of Queen Elizabeth with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The photo was reportedly taken by Kate Middleton.

Kate and William’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are in the photo.

However, there is no sign of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Archie and Lilibet.

The Prince and Princess of Wales captioned the photo:

“Today would have been Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 97th birthday. This photograph – showing her with some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren – was taken at Balmoral last summer.”

The photo has already caused quite a stir online with many slating the royals for leaving out Prince Harry’s children.

One wrote, “With some of her white grandchildren you mean.”

Another said, “It is very sad that Archie and Lilibet are not captured in this moment.”

Others were quick to defend the royals with many pointing out that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s children also weren’t in the photo.

“Looks like a really warm family,” one also said.

“Before they start with the drama, the York babies, August and Sienna, and Archie and Lili were also missing,” another said.

Many pointed out that most of the royal grandchildren aren’t in the photo.

Queen Elizabeth would have turned 97 on April 21st. She passed away on September 8th, 2022 at Balmoral Castle.
