It has caused a bit of controversy online.

Location, Location, Location star Kirstie Allsopp has revealed that when she flies away with her children, they sit in economy while she and her husband take first class.

According to The Sun, she said upgrading them to the more exclusive seating would be an “absurd waste of money.”

The Channel 4 star, who has two sons, Bay, 12 and Oscar, 10, said: “If I’m going to spend money, it’s on the holiday itself rather than the flights.

“When we fly as a family, the boys do fly separately from Ben and me if we’re not in economy together.

“Obviously this wasn’t the case when they were little but now they are big enough to sit separately, they do.”

Gordon Ramsay previously said that he applies the same rules with his children.

“Club Class should be a huge treat you’ve worked hard for. If kids get used to it, what do they have to work towards? It seems like an absurd waste of money and very spoiling. I suspect Gordon Ramsay and I can’t be the only ones to think this.”

Kirstie is known her her budget-friendly ways as she has released numerous books on how to decorate your home on the cheap… however many think that this is a bit much, especially if she and her husband decide to fly first class.

What you do think, mamas?
