Mums reveal the ‘crazy things’ they’ve done for their kids and we’re howling

This is pretty hilarious.

As we all know, we do a lot of crazy things for our kids, and the mothers of Mumsnet have taken to the online forum to reveal just how far they will go. From making them food at crazy hours of the morning, to singing them ridiculous songs to settle their little heads, we've compiled a list of the gas things mums have done here:

Hammer Time

DS2 got an inflatable hammer at a fair with my dad this weekend. I shit you not he required a full performance of MC Hammer “Hammer Time” at 6am from me and DS1 before he’d get up, crab scuttle dance and all! He’s 4.

Because we could all use a good story...

When we walk the dog we have a storyline e.g. we are hobbits trying to reach Rivendell and escape from the black riders or two children are lost in a dungeon trying to escape from traps. We occasionally are seen hiding in a ditch or similar and I have to try and style it out.

We'll never get to be Elsa

I always have to settle for being Ana even though I really want to be Elsa.

We'll do anything for them to eat

Just been making siren noises to encourage my baby to stop crying and latch on, and just pleased there's nobody here watching me 'nee-naw'. Tell me about any weird things that you only do when nobody else is around.

Including this:

Made scrambled egg at 5am.

But we'll do just about anything to make them smile...

I did "the dab" for my teenager who was stressing about school. It got a laugh, so mission accomplished!
