A study conducted by Pampers showed that seven out of 10 parents underestimated how much of an impact having children would have on their day-to-day lives.
Despite this though, nine out of 10 parents also said that having a child was the best thing they've ever done so, you know, worth it.
That doesn't mean they're not going to miss a few things though. As well as lie ins, parents also miss leaving the house at a moment's notice, spending money guilt free, and not having to worry about a babysitter.
Same, tbh.
The top 20 things Irish parents miss can be found below:
1. Saturday morning lie-ins
2. A clean and tidy house
3. Leaving the house at a moment's notice, without having to worry about a babysitter
4. Date nights
5. Watching television in complete peace
6. Spending money guilt free
7. Nights out with friends
8. Going to the toilet without being disturbed
9. Browsing the shops rather than rushing round
10. Having a shower or bath without being disturbed
11. Getting a full night's sleep
12. Romance
13. Being able to finish a cup of tea before it goes cold
